Yarnventure 1: The Skein Attraction

If you are love knitting (or any other form of "yarniness"), it is all about yarn stores. But they can sometimes get intimidating and uninviting. I am on the lookout for independent, unpretentious, and unique stores. Yesterday was a visit to The Skein Attraction, a beautiful yarn shop in Teaneck--a small town in northern New Jersey. The store is run by really friendly people and has a wonderful selection of yarn. The center of attraction is a large communal table, with several chatty women knitting away.

And bonus! There is a huge sale section! I got six skeins of deeply discounted Lamb’s Pride in Bulky.
I can’t stop smiling.
