Indian wooden handicraft

Meet "yellow-fellow"--my badly battered, wooden ornament from my (ex) key chain. It is from the environment friendly Jute Cottage in Bangalore, India.

Yellow-fellow now sits on my office desk, as a constant reminder of one of many indigenous crafts that artisans around the country fight to keep alive. It is a testimonial to unique ideas, invaluable talents, and long on-going struggles.

This is one of my favorite postings on this site - So Yarnydays is not only about yarn, but rather about creativity and its power.

I LOVE yarn, I could roll around in it all day long, though all of that rolling would not result in the magnificent final products you see here!
