This shawl is inspired from an 1970s magazine (which I misplaced!). I found the pattern terribly challenging and the work had to be unraveled many times. But I must say that it was worth the wait. My obsession for patterns! :) I also wanted to try to tassel technique, and though I am not a big fan of tassels, I have grown to love them on this shawl.Crocheting shawls reminds me of my mother, and me being 12 years old. I wanted to replicate a retro blue and yellow shawl she had made. She used to painstakingly teach me the pattern, and well, I didn't make the shawl!....but I remember her patience and encouragement. This shawl is for you, ma!
