My Dad tells my brothers and me that most of his income must be invested in Corner House. I wouldn't disagree.
In the 1980s, Corner House, now an ice cream parlor-chain in Bangalore, had its sole branch on Residency Road, about a 20 minute walk from the apartment building I grew up in. My first memories is being 12 years old, and gulping down bowls of hot chocolate fudge and vanilla ice cream with my partner-in-crime, Thrupthi.
Hot Chocolate Fudge--anyone who loves ice cream, and who has tasted Corner House's special hot chocolate fudge sauce, has become its slave for life. The brave have ventured into larger battlefields such as the parlor's gigantic Death by Chocolate sundae (literally, death by chocolate!). The popularity of Corner House is such that there is an entire 1000 odd member group on Facebook dedicated to Corner House!
A couple of days back, my brothers, cousins and I were at the Airport Road branch of Corner House (a five minute walk from our home. Yay). As always, we pigged out--see the picture below. We will soon be back for more.
