But all in all, it was a great weekend. The Sit N Knit annual Holiday party was fun...filled with food and wonderful handknits. I got to hang out with my crafty friends and work on what seems like an endless baby blanket.

For the exchange, I received a super cute hat from Jessica. Here is me with her, modeling my new hat. Thank you, Jessica!
My "winter white ripple scarf" went to Rebecca. She mostly knits, and does a little bit of crochet, and was super happy to receive her first crochet item.
The pattern of this scarf is actually from an afghan pattern. I worked one repeat of the pattern, in chunky yarn. All in under three hours. Bliss.
Pattern: Easy Ripple Afghan; one repeat of the pattern
Yarn: Plymouth Encore Chunky in off-white
Hook: 6mm

A very pretty scarf. I am sure that Buffalo will be much colder.
Stay warm!
Very, very pretty and probably appreciated more than you will know. The winter has really hit here as well. We received 10" of snow in our front yard just yesterday. Brrrrrr! Merry Christmas!
and it was 60 here today!!! Tomorrow is supposed to be 32 tho :(:(
BTW, very pretty scarf.
And here I'm sitting longing for those freezing temperatures!!!! What a cute hat and love the scarf too - can't imagine how quick you must be with the hook!!!
That was a great idea to make a scarf from an afghan pattern. It is cold here in the Northwest, too. Keep warm!
Very cute and warm scarf! Seems to be a lot of cold weather across the country :)
What a beautiful scarf! I've been doing some crochet lately - it's been awhile. I'd forgotten how much I love it!
love, love, love the scarf!
And REALLY love the cupcakes and their containers from the last post!
Love the scarf!!
Very cool scarf! I've been wanting to make one like it. If only people would stop having babies that need booties and blankets. Thank you for being the lone reader to my new blog! Yay!
