After spending the last few months finishing several unfinished projects, it was a dream to work on something new. This is a last minute Xmas gift for my mother-in-law, who spends many hours a week entertaining Anya. This scarf is filled with gratitude and "thankfulness"--if thats even a word, but you get my point.
Initially, I only intended to make gifts for Anya. Somehow down the line, Suketu got himself onto the list. And then I thought it was only fair to make something for my mother-in-law. So I needed a quick pattern with a beautiful outcome--and this is the perfect pattern. Totally mindless once you get through the first few rows, and it is 100% pretty.
Since I am going through my stash in a big way, I decided to use the Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino that I had been saving up for I dont know what. Maybe a yarn famine? Very nice to work with, but the quality control sucks big time. Tons of spots where the yarn was knotted up together. Crochet hides all this stuff, but if it were knitting, there would have certainly been some cursing. Anyway--six skeins and I got more than a generous sized scarf. I am definitely going to make a few more of these.
