No, No. I am still here. I cant believe the last time I posted was in January. How can that be possible? Is it March yet?
__
Everyone knows that I love knitting for babies. But what gives me more pleasure is knitting for people who I have known forever--not the "people" per se, but their babies. Do you get what I mean?
I have know Nasir almost forever--and when I was in India, we got to meet his lovely, new fellow. This blanket was made for him--my first ever granny square blanket which involved seaming. If you have read my blog more than once (yap, once is all it takes), you know how much I hate seaming. But as they say, no pain, no gain. I love the outcome.
Pattern: made up

Your use of color always delights me. Looking at this makes me want to make one...very nice.
Super cute baby and super cute blanket!
Oooooh, love the colors on this blanket. I used to hate doing the seaming too, and I still don't love it really, but I'm no longer "afraid" of it and I no longer avoid any pattern with seaming. There's just something so satisfying about a good, clean, perfect seam once it's finished.
Glad to see you in blogland. It's hard to keep up with it when you have a little one.
Oh lovely. I was just about to make enquiries!
Anya looks so grown up. What's on your needles/hook for her next?
Nice to hear for you and get a catch up!
Love the blanket - those colours are very springy.
What Absolutely Gorgeous colors in your blanket - captivating and joyful!
I love the blanket, superb colors as always! I really dislike, okay hate, seaming as well - I bet I'd get over it if I took a proper class on seaming some day so that I could learn to do it right and totally trust my results.
What a gorgeous blanket!!! I love your work Rima! Always so neat and beautiful and just yummy!!!
Nice! Everyone's already said great colors, so I'll say great seaming! :)

Wonderful blanket! I love the way the baby's eyes are popping out of his head. He's probably thinking I want to grab that camera!
