Baby Color-Block Blanket

No, No. I am still here. I cant believe the last time I posted was in January. How can that be possible? Is it March yet?

Everyone knows that I love knitting for babies. But what gives me more pleasure is knitting for people who I have known forever--not the "people" per se, but their babies. Do you get what I mean?

I have know Nasir almost forever--and when I was in India, we got to meet his lovely, new fellow. This blanket was made for him--my first ever granny square blanket which involved seaming. If you have read my blog more than once (yap, once is all it takes), you know how much I hate seaming. But as they say, no pain, no gain. I love the outcome.

Oooooh, love the colors on this blanket. I used to hate doing the seaming too, and I still don't love it really, but I'm no longer "afraid" of it and I no longer avoid any pattern with seaming. There's just something so satisfying about a good, clean, perfect seam once it's finished.
Glad to see you in blogland. It's hard to keep up with it when you have a little one.

Oh lovely. I was just about to make enquiries!

Anya looks so grown up. What's on your needles/hook for her next?

I love the blanket, superb colors as always! I really dislike, okay hate, seaming as well - I bet I'd get over it if I took a proper class on seaming some day so that I could learn to do it right and totally trust my results.

Wonderful blanket! I love the way the baby's eyes are popping out of his head. He's probably thinking I want to grab that camera!
