Hi, i'm prasad, I purchased a singer machine for my wife and sister in law from GB electrical's,electronics and sewing machines.
The person over here greets you with warm words "Welcome Sir/Mam" and gestures you to sit and offers you tea or coffee, irrespective of the fact you have come for an inquiry or buy the machine.Was very touched by the courteous gesture.
Their representative came home and gave us a complete demonstration of the machine.
I was very delighted with their service.I highly recommend this shop.

Dear Farahnaz,
i got ur mail thru rima as u told.. i tried replying to u but its not working.. i took stitching classes from singer almost an year ago.. that is nov 2008.. i was there till jan 2009.. i had good experience and now am able to stitch my own salwar kameez and kurtis..
after jan '09 i havnt visited the institute.. so am not sure whether the tutor has changed or not.. but plse try calling them n find it out. i have given the address n phone numbers in one of my previous comments in this thread or check my blog page http://mmappilassery.blogspot.com/2009/02/stitch-in-time.html

hi all, i have read all of u above and thought of leaving my opinion about singer sewing class in commercial strt, blore.
I am married and a home maker. I wanted to learn sewing since my teenage but it didn't happen coz of some or the other reason. After coming to bangalore i've been searching for an institute where i can learn from the basics of stitching. Finally my husband found out this blog for me. [Thanks a ton to Rima].
Bindu, the teacher, is a young lady who teaches u very well. U can learn basics or salwar kameez or sari blouses or western dresses or all of the above. For each section u have to pay separately. But the charges are reasonable only. she speaks five or more languages and is very friendly.
The class is open on 6 days a week morning 11 to evening 5. U can select any batch of 2 hours, like 11am-1pm, 1pm-3pm, 3pm-5pm. she teaches individually so that u can make sure that u r learning every bit of it. Being a house wife, the timing is very comfortable for me. There is no hard and fast rules here. You can also meet so many friends of different ages and ppl from different states of India and abroad. Its a good experience and who knows u may end up learning a foriegn language too with ur course! just kidding!

It's not the machine teacher it's the sewing teacher and the her name is the same which you had mentioned in the blog.

My mom is about 60 years of age and with her the trainer behaved rudely. My mom and wife travel to the training institute after completing the house hold works and travelling about an hour by BTS bus, reach the center and again returning back to house at about 7 PM daily.

In spite of putting hard effort just having in mind to learn the stiching and finally when they find the trainer not helping out them and spending the most of time in phone calls and other works I can imagine how disappointed they were.

2nd day of their trainig they received a phone call from the trainer when they were waiting in the bus stop saying that the class has been cancelled as she was supposed to attend a function. She was not at all polite in talking to them and my mom felt very bad about this. Hence I told them discontinue the training and now I have written a mail to Singer HO mentioning the same so that no other will experience the same.

Now they have found a sewing trainer near to our house for much lesser fee and also getting a good training with a polite service.

We too bought a new Singer fashion maker after getting assurance from the showroom manager that they will provide a month training in stiching for my wife and mother. They attended 3 classes and they were actually shocked from the behaviour of the trainer. She was not at all polite in talking and also not giving attention to teach them. All together they had a very bad experience from this traning and were forced to terminate in 3 classes itself. Thought a giving a update on this.

I am someone who is just interested in craft, and do not have any affiliation with the Singer showroom in Bangalore. I actually live in NYC, and am currently visiting Bangalore (I grew up here, and my parents live here). Therefore, I am not in a position to answer your questions about models, warranty etc, but I do think the showroom accepts both card and cash.
I remember contacting Singer (regarding their sewing classes) by getting their phone number in the Bangalore directory.

I am glad I could dish out some information from you. The reason for me not leaving any email id is because of SPAM. However since you have my email ID I will be obliged if you can give me some more information.
1.What model is this basic stuff you are mentioning? I saw A brother on the net BM3500. Is it similar to that? What models are there in Singer which can be purchased? Do I get warranty?
2. What is the mode of payment. Cash/Card?

Is it ok if I can get your contact information and send my Wife and Mother in law or do you want them to just walk in. What are the timings of the shop. Can you provide me a contact number of the shop.
