i hope you do post the pattern soon. i don't watch Law & Order as devotedly as you do, but netflix sure does make it easy for me to bounce over to catch an episode or two. i personally love Vincent D'Onofrio, his character is fantastic. if you post this pattern, i would only make it while watch L&O, i promise.

Giant granny square blankets like that are my favorite to make. It seems like you get more "distance" with the yarn and make a blanket larger as a granny square, compared to other designs that just seem to eat the yarn up!
